Our workshop houses a large capacity honing
machine with Sunnen equipment. Unique in the Southern Hemisphere, this
equipment allows Meeke Engineering to provide specialist services which is
unmatched by our competitors. The machine has the capacity to hone from
diameters of 45mm to 203mm x 2.850 metres long and diameters from 85mm to 914mm
x 6.1metres in length.
If the job is open on both sides it
can hone up to 12m long end to end. This versatile machine can be used to hone
hydraulic cylinders and also precision bores. However, prior to any work
commencing on a project, our engineers will conduct a full appraisal of each
application and recommend the most economical process to undertake.
